Rachael & Brentice- Film Photography Mentor Session {Anniversary Photographer, Chapel Hill NC}

Couples

Good morning! I am so excited to post this blog post today because I believe this is the photo shoot I will look back on and say “This is the shoot that changed my photography.” I was lucky enough to book a mentor session with Graham Terhune to learn all about getting my photography business off the ground and about film photography. At the end of our session, we spent a while with Rachael and Brentice in Chapel Hill putting what I had learned to practice. I immediately clicked with these two, realizing we had colleges, friends & wedding photographers in common ;). They were so patient and sweet while I learned how to roll the film, tried to stop staring at the back of the blank camera looking for the pictures, and tried not be be awkward trying to pose them. 🙂 Graham taught me how to set the light and to shoot confidently enough to KNOW how your photos will come out. Although I struggled with the focus a little bit during my first film session, I am excited that I got a handful of great images that I was able to share with these 2 for their one year anniversary! Rachael and Brentice were obviously made for one another; the look they have in their eyes for one another gives me chills! Happy anniversary, you two & thank you Graham for teaching me to improve my photography (and for a fun day!)
